Published by Mediaweb, New Zealand Local Government magazine provides independent news and feature coverage of the entire local government sector.

We reach all 78 councils, their suppliers and contractors − with content that is always current, always “on message” and which deals with the issues faced by New Zealand’s local authority professionals.

Governance, finance and rates, engineering, coastal management, conferences, training and recruitment are just some of the critical subjects we cover.

First published in 1964 NZ Local Government magazine is a monthly magazine covering the news, the people, the trends and current concerns of local government in New Zealand.

Each issue includes a digest of news reports and personnel changes throughout the country, expert opinions on legislation and legal decisions affecting the sector, as well as feature articles covering the issues of the moment.
