Local Government in New Zealand is facing big changes − from the new Supercity in Auckland to hints of amalgamation in the Wellington region. The gap between local government and central government is closing all the time and the work of city, district and regional councils is becoming more complex.
To help chart all this change the New Zealand Local Government monthly magazine provides councils, government departments and supplier companies with a window into the workings of government across the country.
Governance, finance and rates, engineering, coastal management, conferences, training and recruitment are just some of the critical subjects we cover in depth, not just in the magazine, but on our website, Twitter and in an occasional email newsletter from early in 2011.
Successful councils need top class managers and directors and experts in all critical areas of operation. But they also depend on their suppliers, consultants, business partners and contractors. If you are one of those people, we want to hear from you. Don’t hesitate to talk to us if you have a story to tell from your specialist field – whether it’s a product or a professional service.
Talk to us about promoting your product or service to the industry’s decision makers.

“Where to put advertising investment is always a significant decision for growing companies regardless of the economic climate. The NZ Local Government magazine turned out to be the right decision for Adapt. "We have connected with new customers as a direct result of our investment in NZLG magazine. Our existing clients have also found it useful to read about our latest news via a publication they’re familiar with.”
Nige Sheed, NZ Director Adapt Solutions
"Watersmart was fortunate to be featured in the August 2009 issue of LG magazine, and our company decided to further the exposure created by this article. We contracted TPL Media to create a four page extract that we could use a promotional flyer. This was completed in timely fashion and we were extremely please with the results.”
Steven Roberts, Director, Watersmart Limited
