Local Government New Zealand has appointed Malcolm Alexander as its new chief executive.
Mr Alexander joins LGNZ from Genesis Energy where he held the position of general manager,

He is a member of the board of the NZ Council for Infrastructure Development and
was chair of the Telecommunications Carriers’ Forum between 2002 and 2008.
Mr Alexander is enrolled as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand. He

“Malcolm is experienced in cabinet, parliamentary and departmental processes and has built

Yule.
“We are delighted to have such a talented person to lead our organisation, and team, and look
forward to Malcolm taking up his new role in April this year.”
